Return Visit with Moms Bonded by Grief
Last June, for Gun Violence Awareness Month, we met with the amazing women of the Moms Bonded By Grief Support Group. Our team went back on a rainy fall day this year to visit with them at home and in their Botanical Garden of Healing, in Philadelphia. Three of our student members Naarah Asamoa, Farnsworth Hendrickson Jr., and Anne Fritchman interviewed them. This is just a taste, an excerpt of the longer-form documentary that our young people are producing with our mentorship and guidance.

This short piece offers an intimate look at the stories that continue to guide our broader goal of giving young people a voice. And, it stands alongside the ongoing work of Naarah Asamoa and Farnsworth Hendrickson Jr. , the young filmmakers currently producing Our Time Is Not Up — that will focus on gun violence in our communities, and explore these parents’ stories in greater depth. Stay tuned!
